Joyama mushroom hunt 城山

Today I went to Joyama between Munakata and Okagaki because I had seen some reports that a famous fungi had appeared. I found it because it was missing its distinctive skirt so I was very disappointed. I hunted for it on and around the mountain but I couldn't find any others. Two years ago I found lots and lots including white and yellow skirted types. There will be more soon but it was a shame not to find some today. I posted some pictures from 2021 which show both colour variations.
