龍王山

I started from Chikuzen-Daibu station. From Chikuzen-Daibu station, take a right and start following the road. Most of the trip you will be on a paved road. I found this sections to part of the hike to be easy and relaxing. While following the road you should pass by a small village, some rice fields, a bamboo forest and small lake. The scenery is beautiful and the local people passing by were very kind to me. After going up some switchbacks and passing by a gate you should arrive at an old cabin. From here on out the road becomes a trail and it gets pretty difficult. The last 1.5km were more difficult than the 4.5km before it. However, once I reached the top it was all worth it. The view of the surrounding area is one of the better views in Fukuoka. I spent an hour at the top eating lunch and laying on the grass. After that I decided to start walking down. The way down is a little steep so just take it slow and be careful. Overall, this was a really nice hike. The trail isn’t crowded(I only passed by six people on a Saturday) and the view from the top is good. I highly recommend this trail to anyone looking for a nice relaxing hike.
