根神山

Tenjin ➜ Sho bus stop 🚏 Return: Yakuoji bus stop 🚏 It started to rain after the first gray peak, but it was light and the woods gave me some shelter. By the last peak it was raining more steadily. I was feeling damp and cold so made a detour to the Kairakusou super public bath. The rotenboro was great with the cold rain hitting the steamy hot bath. Any bath where you can see the mountains is a real treat. 最初のグレーの山頂を過ぎたあたりから雨が降り始めましたが、小雨で、森が雨宿り代わりになってくれました。でも最後の山頂に着く頃には、雨足が強くなっていました。体が冷えて湿っぽく感じたので、予定を変更して**「薬王寺の湯 偕楽荘（やくおうじのゆ かいらくそう）」**というスーパー銭湯に立ち寄りました。湯気立つ熱いお風呂に冷たい雨が当たる露天風呂は最高でした。山が見えるお風呂は、本当に贅沢な気分になりますね。

Today I went to Koga city in Fukuoka and took a No. 1 bus from the station to Yakuoji. The area is famous for its hot spring which I visited after hiking. The plan was to peak hunt which I haven done for a long time but I also enjoyed visiting this area! I started from Yakuoji Shirohige Shrine and climbed the shrine peak. Soon after I started I saw some deer watching me from higher up. There was a good view of Koga and a nice shrine on top. I continued on to a small lake and walked around to the main starting point. climbed over many peaks climbing up and down. Strong winds blew the trees and it was snowing on and off. It was very steep in some places but it was a fun challenge! I eventually came to a mountain park 興山園 with the last peak in it. It had many statues and some nice views. I saw more deer watching me intently. I came down to Yakuoji onsen area and headed for Kairakuso onsen 偕楽荘. It cost 850 Yen (800Yen on weekdays). It had good facilities and a nice relaxation area. They had an interesting spice bath and there were many rubber ducks in the outside bath! 😂🦆 I walked back to the bus stop with achy legs but a good feeling of achievement!

6月に700座、そろそろ800座を目指そうかな😊 それでは前々から気になってた犬鳴山周回12座にGO、おっとその前にもう一つ、大目配周回12座、下山したらすぐ温泉入れるもんね😊 ずっとス"パ"イ山と思ってたらス"バ"イ山だったんですね😅 登ったりくだったりの連続、前半のグリーンピーク7座より後半のグレーピーク5座がキツかった😮‍💨
