Start: Furuyu Onsen Bus 🚎 Return: Amagobashi bus stop 🚎 There once was a nice trail rom Furuyu Onsen to Joyama, but the road has collapsed and the trail is closed. I went up the new route, but it wasn’t very interesting being on the road the whole time. Also, someone has several dogs chained up in small work shacks along the way and they will bark and try to attack you as you walk the road. For the way down, I decided to explore the old Beehive Rock route route. I wasn’t sure if I was on the old trail or not, but I followed the rocky ridge all the way down. There used to be ropes and chains on the old Beehive route, but I didn’t see any until I was near the bottom. It may be better to do this hike in the reverse. It’s always easier to climb up when hiking without a trail. After the hike I went to the wonderful Oncri onsen in Furuyu. ♨️ 古湯温泉から城山への以前のトレイルは、崩落のため通行止めになっています。今回は新ルートで登りましたが、ずっと舗装路を歩くため、あまり面白くありませんでした。また、道沿いの作業小屋に数匹の犬が繋がれており、通りかかると激しく吠えて威嚇してくるので注意が必要です。下山は、昔の「蜂の巣岩ルート」を探検してみました。古いトレイルを正しく歩けていたかは分かりませんが、岩の多い尾根をずっと下りました。事前に「ロープや鎖がある」と読んでいましたが、下山口の近くまで全く見当たりませんでした。この山は、今回とは逆のルート（反時計回り）で登る方が良いかもしれません。道がない場所を歩くときは、下りよりも登りの方が常に安全で楽だからです。下山後は、古湯温泉の「ONCRI（おんくり）」で素晴らしいお湯を楽しみました！♨️ Note: After further research, I wasn’t on the old Beehive Rock trail, which is further to the east. I finally connected to the Beehive Rock trail at the bottom of the ridge. I’m not sure if it is still accessible from the summit since the original Joyama trail is closed.
