Today, I went to explore the mountains surrounding Sefuri town in Saga prefecture. The hike was a bit of a road monster, but luckily almost all of the roads were small country roads without any cars.
I wanted to do this hike as soon as possible because there is still a bus that goes into the interior of the Sefuri mountain area. It costs 200 yen and you can access all these difficult to reach mountains.
In other areas, bus routes have been cancelled or changed into taxi bus routes that require reservations (like the カワセミバス in Nakagawa).
This hike is good for winter. Because of the amount of exposed road hiking, it would be difficult in the hot summer months.
The Arase waterfall was really nice. That must be a great place in the summertime.
Some of the grey peaks had trails that were a bit scratchy with the bush, but they were easy enough to follow with tape along the way.
This area is good if want some peace and quiet. It’s a holiday week and I didn’t see another hiker all day.
今日は佐賀県脊振町周辺の山々を散策してきました。ハイキングはちょっとハードな道のりでしたが、幸いにもほとんどが車が通らない田舎道でした。
脊振山地の奥地まで行くバスがまだあるので、このハイキングをできるだけ早くしたかったのです。200円で、アクセスが難しい山々すべてにアクセスできます。
他の地域では、バス路線が廃止されたり、予約制のタクシー路線に変更されたりしています（那珂川のカワセミバスなど）。
このハイキングは冬におすすめです。露出した道路が多いので、暑い夏の間は難しいかもしれません。
荒瀬の滝は本当に素晴らしかったです。夏には最高の場所でしょうね。
灰色の峰々には、藪で少しガタガタした道もありましたが、道沿いにテープが張ってあったので、簡単に辿ることができました。
静かに過ごしたいなら、このエリアは最適です。連休だったのですが、一日中他のハイカーに出会うことはありませんでした。
