ハイキング

Yesterday was very humid and hot but today there is a lovely breeze.

Still trying to recover my knee I went on a short morning hike to build strength and test it on more uneven terrain. My knee still knocked a little but overall I felt OK.

I enjoyed seeing the morning sun shine through the trees and walking through the fields as busy farmers tended their crops. Near the end I found some sun flowers which always make me smile!

Over a month ago my wife broke her ankle while hiking at Ohirayama and was in great pain. However the worst pain for her was not being able to hike in the mountains and walk in the parks. Last week she was able to stop using crutches and walk in the park. For this week we went to Tenpaizan as a trial hike for rehabilitation. She did well and hopefully we will be back to hiking in Kuju soon!!
