ハイキング

Hi,

For this hike, I was invited to join a Seniors alpine group for a relaxing hike in Yatsugatake. The hike was relaxing but sadly the weather wasn’t clear. We didn’t see any view from the peak. But I had a good walk and company. 

I’m so grateful to share wonderful mountain moments with the Japanese people. They’re are indeed pretty strong and げんき in their 60’s and 70’s. I believe that someday when I retire, I’d be enjoying the mountains as well.

蓼科山（たてしなやま）は八ヶ岳連峰の北端に位置する標高2,531mの火山。 円錐形の美しい山容から諏訪富士（すわふじ）とも呼ばれる。しかし、北麓側では「諏訪富士」とは言わず、多くの別名がある[3]。山体は八ヶ岳中信高原国定公園に含まれる。日本百名山のひとつ。

I went to Hakone to visit Kintaro’s hometown. I went there to see the rock that he sliced into two. It was really amazing. Basically I was there for the folklore and of course the hike. 

The hike was very easy. I also brought a friend for this hike. He’s a beginner and I’m encouraging him to join me in my future adventures 😎. I believe this course was a very good warmup for him. Sadly, there was no Fuji view. This is a late post I didn’t have the time to write a diary about this mountain. 

All in all, the hike was very easy. But I believe it has some of the best views of mount fuji on a clear weather. 

金時山（きんときやま・きんときさん）は、箱根山の北西部に位置する標高1,212mの山である。日本三百名山のひとつ。
