ハイキング

We started the day with a family hike up Mt. Homan from Kamado Shrine. My daughter did her best and worked hard. We ate lunch at the camp centre near the summit before parting ways. I headed off alone to visit the frozen waterfall and to go down to Showanomori to camp for the night in the woods with friends. 

It was great to camp in the woods and feel the darkness steadily close in. The light from the campfire illuminating our faces. 

In the morning we hiked back down to Umi station and ate delicious hamburgers for lunch! Yum!

宝満山（ほうまんざん）（標高829.6m）は福岡県筑紫野市と太宰府市にまたがる山であり、別名を御笠山（みかさやま）、竈門山（かまどやま）とも言う。
