ハイキング

Bishamondo on Shioji is open on once a year on Jan 3rd. We hiked up from Onojo and paid our respects at the shrine. We then hiked around the rest of the mountains and went down via Dazaifu. There we visited Tenmangu shrine and waited with the mass of people to pray for a good year and health. After praying we went to get hot Umagaemochi! Yummy!

四王寺山（しおうじやま）とは、福岡県太宰府市・大野城市・糟屋郡宇美町にまたがる標高410mの山である。構造的には最高点のある大城山（おおきやま・大野山とも）を中心に岩屋山・水瓶山・大原山と呼ばれる4つの山から構成されており、それらを別個の山とみなして一帯の山地の総称として四王寺山脈・四王寺山地と呼称する場合もある。

鎌倉市（かまくらし）は、神奈川県、三浦半島西側の付け根に位置し、鎌倉を中心部とする市である。

【地理】
鎌倉市は横浜市の南西、藤沢市の東、逗子市の北西に位置し、南は相模湾に面している。三方が低い山で囲まれ海に面する地であり、かつては幕府が置かれ政権の要の地であった。今日では旧腰越町や旧大船町など、いわゆる「三方を山に囲まれた鎌倉」の外側に位置する地域も市内に含まれる。鎌倉は地域内に多くの歴史遺跡を持つ「古都」であるが、後述の通り室町時代中期以降に衰退したため「都市・鎌倉」としての歴史は連続していない。
江戸時代後期になると、地域内の寺社が多くの参詣客を集めるようになるが、明治初期の段階でも鎌倉大仏（高徳院）や長谷寺を擁する長谷（はせ）地区に都市的な集落が分布するのみで、現在の鎌倉市の中心市街地は形成されていなかった。
明治初期、現鎌倉市域を含む鎌倉郡を管轄する郡役所は戸塚（現横浜市戸塚区）に置かれた。明治中期以降、保養・別荘地として、昭和以降に観光地として改めて「都市・鎌倉」の発展を見たのである。ゆえに中世以来の建造物はほとんど存在せず、文化遺産として価値の高い中世都市の遺構の多い地域といえる。

金剛山（こんごうさん、こんごうざん）は、奈良県御所市と大阪府南河内郡千早赤阪村との境目にある山。かつては高間山・高天山（たかまやま）や葛城嶺（かづらきのみね）といわれていた。金剛山地の主峰である。
標高1,125m。最高地点は葛木岳といい、御所市の葛木神社の本殿の裏にあるが、神域となっており立ち入ることはできないため、国見城跡の広場が山頂扱いされている。他に湧出岳1,112m、大日岳1,094mのピークがある。大阪府の最高地点 (1,053m) がこの山の中腹にあり、その旨の標識が掲出されている。三角点は湧出岳に設置されている。

Happy New Year! 
あけましておめでとう!

We got up early and caught the first train to Haruda to hike up Kiyama in the dark. We got to the trailhead and switched on our headlamps. The hike was easy enough in the dark and we made good time. The weather was perfect with a chill in the air but almost no wind. As we set off the sky was full of stars so we knew that we would get a good view of the first sunrise of 2022. 

At the top it was easy with lots of people ready to enjoy the view. We walked all over the top and found a good place to sit in front of the old viewing tower which faces east. The rays of sunlight began to lick the ground at a out 7:25 and the sun rose quickly. After viewing the sunrise we hiked down to the Amandi onsen for a morning bath. Time to go home and eat Ozoni and other delicious new year food! 

天拝山（てんぱいざん）は、福岡県筑紫野市にある標高258mの山である。その名は、大宰府に流刑された菅原道真が自らの無実を訴えるべく幾度も登頂し天を拝したという伝記に由来する。古名は天判山（てんぱんざん）。
