Hakone Komagatake is a mountain that symbolizes Hakone at an altitude of 1356m, and it is said that the place name of Hakone is that its shape looks like a "box" from the Odawara side.
The trail is currently closed due to the eruption and can only be accessed by ropeway.
The entire mountaintop is open, and you can enjoy a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji and all four sides. You can also see plant communities in the wind-blown rocky areas such as Hakone Rhododendron. The mountain body is covered with greenery, but if you look closely at the terrain, you can see many lava flows, and you can see that this mountain was gradually formed by repeated eruptions.
It is one of the central crater hills, and there are ritual sites based on the legend of advent such as "Horse stone" and "Horse stone" near the summit, and it was a sacred place that has been worshiped for a long time together with Kamiyama. You can see. Currently, the former shrine of Hakone Shrine is enshrined on the summit of Mt. Komagatake and serves as a hall of worship to worship Kamiyama.
