In times gone by, pilgrims would stay here for 75 or 100 days to purify themselves. Kiyotaki waterfall can be seen from the road and is the waterfall most used for bathing. Both Fudō Myōō and Seiryū Benzaiten are enshrined here. The waterfall is 30m tall and accommodates large volumes of water. Huge icicles are known to appear here in cold weather. The steep, winding slope over the vermilion lacquered bridge directly below the waterfall leads to Shintaki.
