Mitsumine Shrine is located at an altitude of 1,100 meters. It enshrines Izanagi and Izanami, the gods of national origin, and spread its belief throughout the Kanto region during the Edo period, saying that it would be beneficial to prevent fires, epidemics, and theft. In addition, since Izanagi and Izanami are married couples, it is believed that there is a benefit to the fulfillment of good relations, and worshipers from all over the country still visit. The name of Mitsumine comes from the fact that three ridges, Mt. Kumotori, Mt. Shiraiwa, and Mt. Myohogadake, are beautifully connected to the east of the shrine. The former approach is used as a hiking course as it is, and it is unique to Mitsumine Shrine that wolves are worshiped as messengers of the gods. On the way to the shrine, you can enjoy the nature of the four seasons.
