I come from England but now live in Fukuoka and love hiking! I sometimes hike with my two daughters but more often alone. I like to explore new places, no mountain is not worth the effort! Exploring, hiking, running are important to me. Feel free to get in contact if you want hike together or want any advice on how to reach some of these mountains by rail and bus! My legs were still tired from the day before so I decided to stay closer to home. I decided to hike from Haruda station to Kiyama and over to Tenpaizan. I packed my gas stove and sandwich toaster and started hiking from the station. As I was walking up the road next to the chicken egg farm I realised that I had forgotten to bring any bread! 🍞! So I stopped Yamap and walked back twenty minutes to the supermarket. I got the bread and was back on track. I hiked up to Kiyama enjoying nature and even saw a snake sunbathing. I made lunch and sat enjoying the far views. I hiked down using an old route which I haven't used for a long time. I hiked over to Tenpai lake and continued hiking up and down Tenpaizan. At the bottom of Tenpaizan there was a festival in full swing. I stopped to watch some Taiko drummers before heaving to an onsen.
