It was two weeks ago, on the 7th October, that I was exploring this area and, after today's ride, I very much want to return and explore some more. I have hiked & mountain-biked in the Yamatokoriyama area many times in the 15-years I have lived in Japan, and it has to be one of the most beautiful, scenic & historical areas on Earth.
